falling4forever asked: Little Brother is also the winner of last year's White Pine Book Club award. It's the book club my school and a bunch of other schools in Ontario do with 10 nominated books by Canadian authors, and then everyone who has read at least 5 of them votes for a winner. Just thought you might want to know. :) Sorry this isn't a question!

He’s also reaching out to Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. I guess he can’t afford to be picky here.
That, would be awesome. But we (AP kids) all know he could write an amazing speech on his own but half the kids probably wouldn’t understand it.
Very true. I think he should only use words with three or more syllables and periphrastic syntactical structure.

My physics teacher (he’s pretty awesome) recommended another book to me (well, to the class…but I’m one of the few who actually checks out the books he suggests)—Little Brother by Cory Doctorow. It’s weird because a few days before he brought up this book, I clicked on a tumbr link to an article…

It’s weird because a few days before he brought up this book, I clicked on a tumbr link to an article about how Doctorow apparently verbally abused an old lady for owning an...

why life isn't so great at the moment
I feel like complaining.
I’m sick and prom is in two days.
AP Calculus test is less than a week away and I only just started reviewing. (Yeah, this one’s completely my fault for procrastinating….)

I have a physics test tomorrow on currents and I have a 90.6% in that class. I’d like to stop caring about getting all A’s, but...

There was some pretty heavy stuff in this episode. And amazingly, it wasn’t Rachel-centric for once.
I thought there was a tad too much April in this episode. I mean, I know she’s the guest star and she’s an amazing singer, but she kind of stole the spotlight from all the other characters.
That being said, I did like her first duet with Will. :)
I’m so happy Mercedes...

fifty books challenge update #20
Finished another book. (Chelsea, this is to make up for not reading an entire book yesterday. :P) The book in question is the one I mentioned earlier, How To Say Goodbye In Robot by Natalie Standiford.
This book is different. The pink cover with the dangling phone might make you think it’s just chick lit, or a cheesy YA romance, but it’s not. It’s quirky, heartfelt, and very...

formerlyladyhope-deactivated201 asked: Your posts about the fifty books challenge, for the most part. Your reviews really get me inspired to read more :).
I just got a kindle, and it's so much easier to get books now! I'm currently battering through the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon; have you read them?

fifty books challenge update #19
Finished ArchEnemy by Frank Beddor today! (I’m trying not to fall asleep as I type…I think I need to take a nap.)
Overall, it was a satisfying conclusion to a great series. It took me awhile to get into it at first, but that was probably because I read the first two books a long time ago, so I had forgotten what had happened previously. The more I read though, the more everything came...

I have ArchEnemy in my possession.
Which makes me very happy. Unfortunately, I have to go to the darn French Honor Society Induction thingy tonight, and then I have to study for a calc test. But tomorrow, I shall finish it.
